Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do I need to have experience with horses?
    No, our programs here at Common Ground do not require you to have prior experience. We always put safety first and we will accommodate your comfort level around the horses.
  • Do I need to wear certain clothing?
    Although cowboy hats and boots aren’t required (but may add to the experience), we do have certain safety requirements when it comes to your clothing. Simple things like closed toed shoes and wearing comfortable clothes that you are okay with getting a little dusty.
  • Are you certified and insured?
    Yes! We have been trained by and are certified through Equine Connection - The Academy of Equine Assisted Learning, and backed by The EAL Network a leading organization in this specific skills development program with horses. Additionally, we carry extensive liability insurance.
  • What if I'm allergic?
    Knowing is half the battle! We recommend bringing an antihistamine with you, as we do not carry any on-site.
  • Am I able to visit the farm at any time?
    We kindly request that all visits be scheduled in advance. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.
