A Heartwarming Connection
Ms. Deb Prue came to Common Ground as a ongoing program participant and fell in love with Billy! Her Mom was in poor health, and she wanted to do something special for her and to meet Billy at the same time. On a beautiful day all dressed in pink, she brought her mom out to the farm, and we had a very special carriage ride for them both. Billy really showed off her love for Deb! It was a heartwarming day for everyone!

Granting Joy
One of our long-time volunteers, Mark Bowie, asked if we could grant a wish for him to bring joy to the wife and caregiver of a dear friend. For many years, she has been caring selflessly for her husband, who is completely disabled. She had horses as a young person and had talked to Mark about his volunteer work with Common Ground. So, we set the date, loaded Billy and Dolly up, and had a great surprise, full of joy and tears for everyone!

Honoring Heroes
Every year, we bring our driving team to one of the local Christmas Parades. We often invite our military veterans to join us in celebrating them in appreciation for their service to our Nation. The young and young at heart have joined us over the years as we keep our tradition of gratitude to our military alive.
